Sebastian Manz and Sebastian Studnitzky dedicate a unique project to the great Leonard Bernstein. "A Bernstein Story" is an album between jazz and classical music that "Lenny" would certainly have liked. The two ECHOPrize winners are respected musicians in their respective fields. Sebastian Manz recently convinced with his Weber complete recording for clarinet and "profiles himself as a sovereign Master of his instrument" (Norbert Hornig). With his album "Ky Organic" Sebastian Studnitzky blew up the Limits of Jazz, initiated the XJAZZ Festival Berlin and tours the whole world. The musicians approach Bernstein in their own way and from their own genre: Manz as the classic, Studnitzky as jazz. The result is an album that is supposed to be just like the composer: far removed from formal determinability, stylistically pluralistic, eclectic colourful between classical music and jazz.
