TYTINGVAG, RANDI TRIO - The Light You Need Exists (Sealed) (CD)

After Randi Tytingv?g's sixth studio album - and the first with her trio - "Roots & Wings" was only positively received when it was released in 2017 and the trio was welcomed with open arms on their tours in Norway and Germany, the artist is already looking forward to presenting her audience with the new songs she has been working on over the past months. Musically the trio on "The Light You Need Exists" continues the delicate thread they recorded on their predecessor: Folk, roots and jazz influences shape the sound, which Randi himself describes as 'Nordicana' ("colored by the American Songbook, but firmly rooted in our Norwegian homeland"). Randi's voice caresses your soul like a summer breeze blowing through a wheat field under a bright blue sky. This time Randi worked with the wonderful poet Helge Torvund for the lyrics. This collaboration gives the album additional depth and an extraordinary atmosphere. The red thread running through the work is a sense of hope and optimism. The title track "The Light You Need Exists" is the best example of this.
