Actually they only wanted to dedicate one song to their favourite band and maybe hand it over personally. When this meeting with Halestorm actually took place and the US formation was completely surprised and extremely taken with "We Got The Fire", the fire was also kindled on the German side. The band FREAKSTORM was born, consisting of singer and lyricist Sinah Meier, guitarists Dirk Weidmann and Toby Wendeler as well as Marc Bremer on bass and drummer Olli Fuchs. This tribute song was recorded in 2018 on his own initiative and created its first airplay appearances and consistently positive reviews in daily and trade magazines. Afterwards he went to the Karlsruhe "TrakShak"-Studio to producer Dennis Ward (among others Pink Cream 69 and Unisonic!), under whose direction several new numbers were created, which were all harder and more consistent in sound and style. The now released first CD-EP with the title "From Zero" reflects exactly this. The opener "Can't Keep Me Down", also first release in spring, convinces with fresh riffs and sharp beats as well as a dashing hookline. The dynamic track "Payback Time" was selected by the magazine "Rocks" for their next supplement CD. "Not The One", almost balladesque and yet full of power, recently started as a second single. "Nothing", driving straight ahead, and the acoustic "Sometimes" complete the jointly composed musical picture. The FREAKSTORM start song "We Got The Fire" has been added as a bonus track.
