As solo artists as well as a duo Ian and Sylvia Tyson are considered to be super successful. They are and were pioneers of the folk and Americana genre, played in the early 60s in Greenwich Village and Yorkville and performed with Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Gordon Lightfoot. Ian's compositions Four Strong Winds and The Mighty Quinn are considered standards today. Both Ian and Sylvia Tyson have long been members of the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame. 25 years after her divorce, Sylvia Tyson discovered an old box of analog tapes that were recorded live in front of a small audience in a studio in the early 70s. More than twenty unreleased tracks, including some that never reached the public eye. These recordings are now being released for the first time on the occasion of Sylvia's inclusion in the Canadian Songwriter's Hall Of Fame.
