Mayhem, the Norwegian pioneers who were responsible for revitalizing a global scene alongside creators like Venom, Celtic Frost & Bathory were founded in 1984 and have a long history of tragedy, intrigue and infamy to truly revered legends of Black Metal, with much of their heritage dating back to the late 80s and early 90s years, when guitarist Euronymous & bassist Necrobutcher Hellhammer on drums and Dead on vocals welcomed to create a new era of darkness and Armageddon. Henhouse Recordings is one of only a few Mayhem recordings with the legendary singer Per "Dead" Ohlin before his suicide in 1991 and is another essential piece of the history of black material and on vinyl 30 years after the recordings.
