The Spirit, originating from the Saarland, were formed in 2015 and started off on a steep career path there. Her debut album "Sounds From The Vortex" was released by Nuclear Blast and shortly after the release of her first work the band went on tour with Hypocrisy and Kataklysm. Now the second work of the band is released. "Cosmic Terror" united again the strengths of the band, which lie exactly between Black- and (Melodic) Death Metal. Fans of Dissection, Immortal or Dimmu Borgir should feel immediately addressed and actually a comparison with many bands from the 90s and especially the already mentioned Dissection were the inspiration for the sound of The Spirit, the but have transferred the very spirit of that time into modern times.
