Na(c)htodreise is the seventh longplayer of Eden Weint Im Grab and also their first concept album. The 15 songs resemble a journey through the afterlife and the underworld, much like the Divine Comedy by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri. Each piece stands for a station on an imaginary map of the afterlife. The attempt was made to convey the different moods equally through texts and music. The basis is powerful Dark Metal with catchy hooklines and massive riff-violence, which however gets a chamber-musical character through the use of violin, viola and cello. Eden Weint Im Grab was founded in 2002 as a solo project by Alexander Paul Blake. Over the years it grew into a real band, which increasingly played live. So there were performances at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Mera Luna, Castle Rock, Darktroll or Rock For Roots as well as concert tours with Nachtblut and Coppelius. The band itself describes their music as heavy metal shower romanticism.
