Midnight Resistance is the 4th album by The Toxic Avenger. And undoubtedly the most extraordinary one, where his musical handwriting is shown to its best advantage. The album resembles a symbiosis of different influences and elements, from energetic electro to popavancen, from classical song to gripping house of the 90s, from neoclassical piano revisited to current synth-pop. An album in which the focus is clearly and directly on emotions and feelings and the technique consciously takes a step back. No question about it - it's certainly the most breakthrough and open genre of all his albums, featuring real pop singles like the intoxicating "Lies" (feat. Look Mum No Computer), the nostalgic ballad "Mandala" from the 80s (feat. Ornette) or the gripping pop song "Rent Boy" (feat. Jay-Jay Johanson). A special highlight of the album is the collaboration with Maxence Cyrin on the very expressive and emotional title "On My own". Probably the biggest surprise of this album is that Toxic Avenger sings "Les Heures" himself for the first time and gives the record a very special touch. At the end Toxic Avenger delights with two special guests. These round off the record with the airy and hedonistic participation of Simone on "Falling Appart" and the spoken word and always unusual flow of Diamond Deuklo on the aptly named "L'Avenir d'Avant". For more than two years Toxic Avenger was intensively engaged with modular synthesizers - out of his passionate sound research a new sound has now emerged, which makes the soul of synthesizers seem more "alive" and organic. This is an impressive work of a "sound surgeon", who succeeds in dissecting voices in detail and giving them a magical aura, while at the same time taking an intense journey into the depths of melody and sound worlds, without losing focus on the songs themselves. This album is released at a time of special attention and visibility for The Toxic Avenger, who has just created the music for Hugo Boss Perfume: (Europe/Latin America campaign for TV/Cinema and Web for the World, for two years, as well as signing the music for the next web commercials by Armani and Yves Saint Laurent
