On June 7, 1969 Blind Faith (Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Rick Grech, Ginger Baker) gave the first - on their own request explicitly free - concert in London's Hyde Park in front of more than 100,000 visitors, through which the band suddenly became famous. In the same year Blind Faith released their only album named after the band, of which 400,000 copies were sold in the first week of sales. The album reached #1 in both the UK and the US and stayed in the top 100 in the US charts for 37 weeks, and is still considered a milestone of progressive British blues rock on the rock music scene due to its successful synthesis of blues, rock and pop. This recording was made in Los Angeles in August 1969 and was broadcast by Radio KSCR-FM. 4-panel digipak with booklet including detailed liner notes!
