The special ensemble for early music, Concerto K?ln, takes a look at its new album "Concertos 4 Violins to the special repertoire niche of concerts with four solo violins. "It had to be a challenge to play four Solo violins, four virtuosos with four different personalities, four egos. But the result is harmony, a dialogue, agreement of four people who achieve a whole. I wish that this was more often part of our daily life," says Jes?s Merino Ruiz from the Quartet of Soloists about Vivaldi's B minor Concerto, the Opening piece of the album. Mayumi Hirasaki, Shunske Sato and Evgeny Sviridov as permanent concert masters stand for the orientation of the self-administered orchestra. For many years the musicians have proven in the selection of their projects, that artistic demands and public success do not contradict each other. With this live recording of "Concertos 4 Violins" Concerto K?ln presents its concertmasters for the first time. For the second time together on one recording - in this case supplemented by the young Spanish violinist Jes?s Merino Ruiz.
