They still exist, these small, fine albums that somehow slip under the radar of perception. "Life Is Almost Wonderful" by Kevin Coyne and Brendan Croker is one of them. This wondrous, quirky guy, song poet, acoustic punk rocker, writer and painter Coyne meets the filigree blues guitarist Croker, who recorded records with Eric Clapton, Tanita Tikaram or Chet Atkins, was a member of the Mekons and, together with Mark Knopfler, brought the Notting Hillbillies to life. The album has already been released once before, in a strictly limited edition, never on a label, but released by the musicians themselves and sold during their little mini tour in 2002 with 7 dates in Belgium and the Netherlands and of course not available for a long time. Now this musical gem is being reissued with songs that somehow remind us of Chuck Berry and Bob Dylan. With lots of visual bonus material from their 2002 mini tour on DVD. From 25.09.2020 on, fans can look forward to this musical rebirth.
