The new German hard rock band Lazarus Dream, consisting of multi-instrumentalist Markus Pfeffer and singer Carsten Lizard Schulz, with their debut album "Alive". Carsten Lizard Schulz delivers a powerful performance and turns the album into a compilation of poignant vocals. Markus Pfeffer was a member of the German band Scarlett and delivers riffs and guitar acrobatics, which can rarely be heard as uncomprimising in his usual band Winterland. He plays not only guitar, but also bass and keyboards. Drums are Markus Kullmann (Sinner, Voodoo Circle, Glenn Hughes), who provides an incredible groove. Lazarus Dream offers a fresh blend of melodic hard rock and classic progressive metal, without revelling too much in the old times. The foundation for an album full of inspired melodic hard rock bliss, which should appeal especially to fans of Queensryche and Dokken.
