Only one and a half years after their self-titled debut, the instrumental collective Neander is back with their second album. "Eremit" will be released on 09.10.2020 via Through Love Records. "Eremit" is the follow-up to one of the most acclaimed instrumental albums of the last few years, a true monument to the genre. According to the British RnR magazine the debut was "proof that there is beauty in melancholy", the German Rolling Stone magazine awarded 4 out of 5 points and described their sound surfaces as a "dead, black lunar landscape". Neander impressively develop their very own heavy sound on "Eremit" with influences from Doom, Ambient and Black Metal. A bleak and lonely atmosphere overshadows the album: the four-piece band cuts a dark crystal of light and shadow. "We wanted to drill even deeper into our own sound. That's why the new riffs are slower and heavier, and the epic parts are much more intense" says the band. "This album is our finding of identity: we explore what we are and open the next chapter" describes guitarist Jan Korbach. "Our first album was made in a period of three years - 'Eremit' in only six months. This time, everything is cast in one piece." Together with Christoph Barthelt from KADAVAR, the drums were recorded in Berlin, Jan Oberg produced the 40-minute monolith in the Hidden Planet Studios. "This album shows a band that is completely immersed in its own cosmos, 'Eremit' is really a journey from beginning to end" says the impressed producer. Magnus Lindberg from Cult Of Luna gave the album the final touch in Stockholm during the mastering: "It was a pure joy to work on this powerful and at the same time dynamic album and to be allowed to refine this music. I cannot recommend this album enough!" Neander consists of musicians from Blackgazer ?nd, Patsy O'Hara's hardcore punks, Sludgers Earth Ship and live band members of Casper. After the release of their debut, the band played countless concerts, including with Pelican, Arma and Big Business. Numerous dates are planned for 2020 and beyond.
