This is the 5th album from UK band Storm Warning which leans more towards rock than any of their previous albums. All tracks are written by the band and influenced a little by 70’s rock. However, the songs sound fresh and there’s no doubting Storm Warning has an individual style and sound. Although ‘Different Horizons’ is not strictly a concept album, there is a theme about change that runs through the album with soundscapes that wouldn’t be out of place on a Pink Floyd album. Guitarist Bob Moore, who unfortunately passed away not long after the album was completed, plays incredible eloquent and flowing guitar lines to die for. For over 15 years Storm Warning has been a notable band on the UK live music scene having played most UK blues/rock festivals. For more information on the making of the album: differenthorizons.co.uk Storm Warning have always had great reviews of their CDs and live performances and have now produced their best album to date with a much wider appeal. For those who like blues/rock, rock and prog, and great original songs.
