In 1992, with the intention of becoming the best bassist in the world, he went to New York: the now 50-year-old Avishai Cohen. Energy, diligence and talent brought him to the attention of Chick Corea, who accepted him into his then newly formed band "Origin". But the successful young man wanted more. He strove for a fusion of jazz with the traditions of his Israeli and Sephardic ancestors. For Cohen's 50th birthday, his label and fans made themselves a present and selected 50 songs from the complete catalog of this exceptional bassist to be distributed on 6 golden records and collected in a box set for the Christmas business.
