The tour was created in May 1983 to support David Bowie's album Let's Dance. It was opened on May 18th 1983 at the Vorst Forest Nationaal in Brussels and ended on December 8th 1983 at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The Bowie Band has visited 15 countries, played 96 gigs and sold over 2.6 million tickets in this time period. The tour received mostly positive reviews from the press. It was his longest, biggest and most successful concert tour at that time, although it has since been exceeded by subsequent Bowie tours in length, attendance and gross income. The band was filled with well-known musicians like Earl Slick, Carlos Alomar or Tony Thomson. The recording was taken from the Montral Forum and was broadcast at the time as part of the renowned King Biscuit Flower Hour radio series. The beautifully presented double LP comes in a fold-out cover, numbered and in dark red vinyl!
