It's the late 80's. The debut album of Canada's death metal act Slaughter hits the market. Apparently made from scratch and with an estimated budget of 3 dollars, "Strappado" is a no-holds-barred slam-bam-bang-in-your-face piece of noise terror. Deep grunging vocals chanting the darkness of the woods, the coldness of the grave, the endlessness of wet, creeping nightmares. Tight drums and equal guitar riffs perform together a deranged, no-nosense, teeth grinding symphony and the guiding songlines are both blood oozing, slime dripping and still with a touch of dark poetry: "Bury my face / in the stench of death / kissing the lips / without any breath." Tracks 1) Strappado 2) The Curse 3) Disintegrater 4) Incinerator 5) Parasites 6) F.O.D. (Fuck Of Death) 7) Tortured Souls 8) Nocturnal Hell 9) Tales Of The Macabre
