London-based artist Eloise releases her beautiful new track, ‘Intertwined’, out now on Harbour Artists. The 21-year-old talent has been busy touring, writing and honing her craft since her debut EP and today announces her dreamy debut mini-album, ‘Somewhere In-Between’.
The young yet timeless soul introduced her debut mini-album with the greatly-received track, ‘Hungover’, which earned her BBC Introducing Track of the Week and consistent plays on BBC Radio 1. Inviting you into her world, the morning after one too many glasses ‘of regret’, ‘Hungover’ is a smooth and magnetic ode to regret, strength and recovery. The track perfectly captures the frustration of getting over someone and making a questionable decision in the process, as Eloise explains, “’Hungover’ is about the motions of recovery that come after a breakup. It’s about the want to be the strong, empowered, self-sufficient woman who knows what’s best when in actual fact you’re a human who’s learning to be alone again and getting it a bit wrong along the way.”
Eloise today launches ‘Intertwined’, a mellow, warm and immensely romantic single with a twist. The track envelops the listener in a dreamy and idealistic relationship, flowing alongside a sunny guitar riff, before uttering, “our time’s been and gone, but my heart won’t move on from you”. Eloise has a rare ability for occupying and relaying the gruelling place somewhere between being in love and being broken-hearted, as she explains: “I feel my job is to write about all the ugly feelings: the things that are in-between fuck you songs and being in love songs”. ‘Somewhere In-Between’ is an incredibly raw and unguarded 9-track soundtrack to Eloise’s experiences between adolescence and adulthood, in and out of love, and represents a huge leap forward artistically for Eloise. Eloise has had enough incredible experiences to fill several lifetimes, and her uniquely fresh and contemporary voice means she undeniably stands out from the crowd.
