His uncle was a music teacher and encouraged Faraj and his siblings to study music. Faraj took piano lessons for three years. Three years of suffering and tears. Bach and Beethoven were Not part of his universe. He wanted like other children playing football with his friends. After several years of studying without enthusiasm, his parents accepted that Faraj should stop his music studies. For 12 years he no longer played the piano. When he became a student after much hesitation about the choice of his university studies Faraj enrolled in the faculty of musicology and took his Bachelor to become a music teacher. His parents thought him teaching in the morning and playing weddings in the evening, and making good money. During his studies, he started to play the piano again, spent hours listening to CDs. Playing makes him happy he realized he was devoting more and more time to music. Composing becomes the obvious next phase. He decided to become a pianist and composer. Influenced by Western and Arab music, Faraj created compositions "? la Stravinsky", without really finding his personal path. Embracing the recommendations of the illustrious professor Nadia Boulanger to Astor Piazzolla to believe in his own music he acquired the confidence and maturity to believe in his own music. At the intersection Arab music, jazz, rock, classical and tango. Theses influences merge to give birth to new Arabic music. As a composer, he was asked to create music for the theater, musicals, and albums for children, films (in particular 200 meters from the Palestinian director Ameen Nayfeh). At one point he started singing and theses songs became extremely popular with the Arabic audience. It’s also a way for Faraj to get connect with his community.
